It is used as a leveling screed before the final coating in the interiors of all buildings.
Indoors;
• Cement based screed,
• Concrete floor
• Prefabricated concrete
As a top coat on floors where Fenix Leveling Screed (Thin) has been applied; glued wood and laminate flooring, ceramics, carpets, PVC coatings can be applied.
• Self-leveling duration of mortar: 15 minutes
• The time required for the floor to open to pedestrian traffic
• The time required for the last layer coating:
– • Ceramic: 24 hours ( for 5 mm)
– • Carpeting: 24 hours ( for 5 mm)
– • Laminate: 24-72 hours (for 5 mm)
– • PVC: 24 hours (for 5 mm)
Application Thickness:
• Surfaces that affected by middle density pedestrian traffic: 1-5 mm
– • Surfaces that affected by high density pedestrian traffic: 3-5 mm
• Surface needs to be dry, clean, and durable.
• Paint, plaster, concrete and any adhesive remnants should be excavated.
• Surface should be purified from dust via aspiration or sweeping.
• Local deformities should be repaired with Fenix Repairing Mortar.
• Fenix Leveling Screed (Thin) should be primed with Fenix Exposed Concrete Primer 30 minutes before application without thinning.
Not applicable on surfaces that are constantly wet or exposed to moisture.
Not applicable on unstable and loose surfaces.
Not applicable on outdoors and industrial zones.
Not applicable on wooden floors.
Can not be left as last layer.
Dilatation joints, if any, should be respected.
A profile suitable for the thickness of the top coat to be applied should be used.
Leveling needs should be confirmed before application.
Water rates should be considered.
Foreign materials should not be added.
Areas such as wall corners and door fronts should be covered with profiles or tapes.
Environment temperature: between +5 °C and +30 °C
Application
Approximately 5 liters of clean water and 25 kg of Fenix Leveling Screed (Thin) should be mixed thoroughly, preferably with a
low-speed mixer for approx
2 minutes until mixture gets homogeneous.
Prepared mortar should be laid to the ground and any deformities on its surface should be filled.
Fenix Leveling Screed (Thin) self-propagates. Its thickness should be adjusted with a steel trowel. If necessary propagated material should be flattened with spiked roller.
Identified durations are valid in 20 °C floor or environment temperatures, in low temperatures duration will be longer, in high temperatures duration will be shorter.
